The main feature however was the live rebuild of a 1951 Riley RMA, carried out by the workshop and technical team from Practical Classics Magazine. The challenge was to complete the rebuild in front of the audience on stage, across the three-day event and to drive it off and hand it to the new owner before the close of the show.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-786 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/duckhams.com\/malaysia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/IMG_2016.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"994\" height=\"707\" srcset=\"https:\/\/duckhams.com\/china\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/IMG_2016.jpg 1920w, https:\/\/duckhams.com\/china\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/IMG_2016-600x427.jpg 600w, https:\/\/duckhams.com\/china\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/IMG_2016-300x213.jpg 300w, https:\/\/duckhams.com\/china\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/IMG_2016-1024x728.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/duckhams.com\/china\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/IMG_2016-768x546.jpg 768w, https:\/\/duckhams.com\/china\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/IMG_2016-1536x1092.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 994px) 100vw, 994px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Riley RMA had been in previous owner Ron Jones\u2019s shed for over 46 years before being taken on by the Editor of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.practicalclassics.co.uk\/\">Practical Classics<\/a>, Danny Hopkins.<\/p>\n<p>Ron was present and the show and witnessed first-hand the high drama that unfolded as the team worked around the clock to complete the challenge.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday morning, Duckhams were able to come to the rescue when the engine sprung a leak moments before it was due for installation. Well sadly although the car looked ready to hit the road after a hiatus of nearly half a century, the engine wasn\u2019t able to fire. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.practicalclassics.co.uk\/\">Practical Classics<\/a>\u00a0team and their helpers from the Riley RM Clubs are not ones to be easily beaten and we expect the car is already up and running.
